The Herzogstand & Heimgarten is a classic hike in the Bavarian Alps, offering beautiful views of the Eibsee and surrounding mountains. This medium-difficulty tour takes us through scenic alpine meadows and forested areas.

We start from Munich Hauptbahnhof and take a bus to Herzogstand, where our hike begins. From there, we ascend to Heimgarten, enjoying panoramic views along the way. After reaching the summit, we’ll have time for lunch and photos before descending back to Herzogstand for our return journey.

This is a popular hiking destination, so we can expect to encounter other nature enthusiasts on the trail. The route is well-maintained but requires good hiking boots and weather-appropriate clothing.
